Foundation Management, Inc.
Formed in October 2000 by Frank W. Merrick, Foundation Management, Inc. (FMI) administers private foundations, charitable trusts and a statewide community foundation. FMI assists clients in developing investment policies, hiring and reviewing asset managers, reviewing grant proposals, making recommendations of funding opportunities and understanding government regulations and filings.
Decades of service as Director and Vice President of The Merrick Foundation inspired Frank's interest in forming FMI to serve the needs of philanthropic individuals and organizations. His extensive experience and involvement with foundation management, charitable organizations and the grant-making and grant-receiving communities allows FMI to consult with numerous family foundations, both new and well-established. Specializing in board development, generational transition issues, as well as policies and procedures establishment, Merrick assists organizations throughout their various development stages.
Prior to founding FMI, Frank was Vice President of Trust Sales for the Bank of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City and served as Vice President of Development for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City. He is a former president of Grantmakers of Oklahoma and is affiliated with the Conference of Southwest Foundations.
