SpiritBank Offers Tips at Spirit Award Unplugged
SpiritBank opens its 2009 Business Solutions Series with a session designed to
give advice to entrepreneurs interested in pursuing the Mayor’s Entrepreneurial
Spirit Award.
Mayor Kathy Taylor’s Tulsa Entrepreneurial Spirit Award Unplugged is set for
4:30-6 p.m., April 8, at the SpiritBank Community Room, 1800 S. Baltimore Ave.,
with a penthouse reception from 6-7 p.m.
The Spirit Award competition is sponsored by SpiritBank and is in a strategic
partnership with the Tulsa Business Journal.
Featured speakers are Gerald Buckley, the 2008 Spirit Award winner and
founder of Grocio.com; Adrienne Kallweit, founder of Seeking Sitters and the
2007 Spirit Award winner; and Ned Bruha of Skunk Whisperer, the 2007 third place
winner.
They will give advice on improving your message and refining your business
plan, injecting entrepreneurialism into your small business, funding your big
idea, lessons on winning the Spirit Award and the value of team-building and
partnerships.
